For Hammer's backstory prompt, I chose "You are the sole survivor of an attack or calamity".
I envisioned this as the clan that Hammer served - the Kenduri - was betrayed and destroyed by a rival clan, the Arata. This gives Hammer his background vow - "I will find the traitor who destroyed our clan". How and why Hammer escaped this destruction we will learn through play.
